1897: Restructuring of the above mentioned association, the new name is ” Association of Brothers of the Poors”.
1933: The Association of Brothers of the Poors is endowed with new statutes and changes the name to be known as “The Central Council of the Maronite Societies”.

2- Significant personalities co-opted by the presidents and the official delegates of the maronite charity Societies.
3- Significant personalities nominated by His Grace the Beirut Maronite Archbishop.
WHO ARE THE MARONITE CHARITY SOCIETIES ?
The Central Council of the Maronite Societies is formed from fourteen maronite charity societies listed hereafter: Saint George, Saint Maroon, Saint Elie, Saint Michel, Saint Joseph, Our-Lady of Deliverance, Saint John the Baptist, Our-Lady of Rosary, The Sacred Heart, Saint Anthony of Padua, Our-Lady of Donation, Saint Sharbel, Saint Peter & Paul and Saint Anthony the Great.
